so last month I was hired as a videographer for Global Fashion News and got a chance to do some of my own interviews with the familiar faces of Project Runway!

I’m not exactly sure why the days leading up to my 21st birthday were so depressing. but I got over it the day after it was all over.

I met Glen Hansard on the street a few months ago as he was looking for the Angelika theater and I was overcome with his sincerity and his surprise that I recognized him. Now he’s an oscar winner and everyone will recognize him and Marketa for making a fabulous film for only a few thousand dollars on handicams and (19yr old) Marketa’s proclamation to create shall always resonate.

so while in Texas, I got a tattoo. It’s from an illustration by Alred Kubin called “Every Night A Dream Visits Us” made in 1900, the year before Freud published Interpretation of Dreams, which ignited the notion that dreams came from an internal force as opposed to Kubin who believed they came from an external force.

…and evidently I act really stupid under a needle…

So forget the last video I had of The Dirty Projectors, this video actually has their faces lit! no longer unplugged -live at the Bowery Ballroom.

so last week at the IFC center, John Cameron Mitchell came by and sang us a sad song, maybe you’ve heard of it…

so this Thanksgiving I’m grateful for being given Todd Haynes’ gift of a movie I’M NOT THERE and being able to get an on-camera interview with him on the red carpet! -as well as my parents traveling a couple thousand miles to see it with me.

A few weeks ago was the annual New Yorker festival and Miranda July was speaking and I waited 7 hours to make sure I had a seat in the front row to breathe the same air as she… and I did! I also made her a dvd with this video on it -I’m basically dedicating my life to her. :: music by my roommate, Josh Anderson ::
